Devon, Plymouth, Somerset and Torbay Trading Standards Service is pleased to announce it has issued an Amended General Safety Certificate to Somerset Cricket Club to allow fixtures at the County Ground in Taunton to take place with the limited return of spectators in line with England’s Steps Coronavirus restrictions.
The Certificate is issued under the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975 and follows advice from the Safety Advisory Group for the ground and amended Operational Plans which detail the precautions to be taken to mitigate the risk of coronavirus transmission and restricts the people allowed to attend. A match between Somerset and Hampshire is scheduled for Thursday 3 June.
The Certificate can be inspected by contacting Trading Standards at tradingstandards@devon.gov.uk or phoning the MyDevon call centre on 0345 155 1015.
