Our Made in Devon team will be at Devon County Show on 2-4 July, with a stand in the Devon County Council area of the showground.
We will be promoting the Made in Devon scheme, informing and signing up business to apply to be members – with a one-year free membership offer for all those who sign up at the show (subject to joining criteria), as well as encouraging people to buy local through the scheme. The Made in Devon scheme is part of the wider Buy With Confidence mark which we are also promoting.
One of our new Made in Devon members will be offering mini cream teas to people who stop for a chat and there’ll be an eco-friendly ‘Plant your own Seed’ activity for children.
The team behind the Trading Standards Farming Partnership’s Mental Health and Wellbeing in Farming initiative will be also be on the stand. The Mental Health and Wellbeing in Farming initiative is helping rural businesses by highlighting and reducing the stigma around mental health and publicising the support available.
Speakers from the Farming Community Network, Police, Fire & Rescue Service, Somerset Village Agents and Young Farmers Clubs will join the stand throughout the show, plus there will be songs from The Somerset Crooner.
Joining us on the Saturday will be the Lions Barbers who are trained in mental health issues, so gents can pop in for a quick short back and sides.
At a neighbouring stand will be the Heart of the South West Growth Hub offering information about their Farming and Food Business Resilience Support as well as all the other support they provide to businesses.
So if you are going to Devon County Show, make sure you drop by and speak to our teams.
