tsconnect-no-background

Although Trading Standards officers no longer deal directly with consumer complaints (if you have an issue, please contact the Citizens Advice Consumer Service), we still believe that best way a consumer can protect themselves is through education.

We set up the tsconnect initiative to ensure that the people of Devon and Somerset would have access to quality, up to date info via this website, along with options for keeping up to date with the latest news and developments.  You can subscribe to our newsletter e-zine, or follow us via Facebook and Twitter.

tsconnect helps Devon & Somerset Trading Standards Service to:

  • Empower Devon and Somerset people – if people know their rights, they are less likely to become the next victims of scamsters and cowboy traders
  • Show Devon and Somerset people where to seek advice and support – many people don’t know they can contact Citizens Advice Consumer Service for professional consumer advice at the cost of a local call
  • Support our ‘Buy With Confidence’ approved businesses
  • Keep consumers and business up to date with the latest legislative changes and service news
